About
Wren Halpern, Creator and Animator
I have been passionate about art, storytelling, and animation since I was young and have always known I wanted to be creative in my career. I love illustration and storyboards and I am also a writer and musician.

Horror is a more recent passion of mine - as a kid I was always fascinated by the genre but more likely to look up plots on Wikipedia than actually watch horror movies. I've grown to really love the way that horror done right has an incredible power to show character depth, emotional journeys, and relationships in a way that I think is unique from other genres. One of the solidifying inspirations for my work is Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House, a ghost story that isn't really about ghosts at all.

I'm currently studying Motion Design and Animation at the University of Connecticut in the Digital Media and Design Department. I am familiar with Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Adobe Substance Painter, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Illustrator, and am comfortable with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
